3 Year's Just Isn't Enough...

So yesterday was Robby's and my 3 year anniversary. It's hard to believe that 3 years ago yesterday I said 'yes' and promised my entire heart and soul to one man. One man I've been able to laugh, cry, kiss, and love so fiercly I thought I couldn't possibly love him more than I already do. And yet every day I love him more and more!

3 years ago...I married my best friend.

3 years ago...I married the love of my life in my dream location...I pretty much got everything I ever wanted on that day.

So for some silly reason Robby and I started this thing where we take turns planning Valentine's Day and our Anniversary. So this year it was his turn to plan our anniversary. I figured we wouldn't be going anywhere too far away, since I am after all almost 7 months pregnant and not suppose to go too far in my last tremester. But I really had no idea what was under Robby's sleeve, everything involving our anniversary was hush hush. So to not feel totally left out..I made him a secret bag that I waited till last night to give him.

My theme was "The things I've learned while falling in love with you":

Some of the things I learned were just attached on the outside of the bag, like:
  • You're a cuddler and a snuggler (which I love).
  • You're incredibly talented in the kitchen.
  • You're SUCH a hard worker.
  • You're romantic and loving (And give the softest kisses <3).
  • You talk in your sleep, and whisper sweet nothings to me... (On a regular basis I'm told while he's talking in his sleep that he loves me so much and how he's so lucky to be with me).
  • You served your mission in Chile...Chi-chi-chi! Le-le-le! Viva Chile!
Then as he opened the bag I made him take each item out one at a time:

I've discovered the boy LOVES to go huckleberry picking and he LOVES huckleberry syrup. When we have pancakes his topping of choice is always his huckleberry syrup. So I thought I had better get him some more!

His drink of choice if we're talking about soda is Mountain Dew. He almost couldn't contain himself from opening it as soon as he pulled it out.

Robby loves to play video games! And instead of me trying to pick him out a new game or gadget I thought a video game fund would be much more useful.

This one certainly explains itself. :) You can't see but it's a magnetic picture so he can put it in his work locker...

I've learned that this is ma hunnies team, and as a good wife I'm becoming more and more a supporter. Even if I'm not a big football junkie...Go Noles!

I learned early on that we had ALOT in common. One of them being we both are crazy for anything Reeses, or anything peanut butter and chocolate for that matter!

Fact is fact...Now...This wasn't one of those things I found out while falling in love (cause that'd be kinda bad...Since we weren't married). But I found out as I fell more in love...And I had to throw it in there ;)

So...While I had my secret all ready I awaited Sunday night (which was when Robby was going to reveal the first clue of our anniversary to me).

Sunday consisted of Robby handing me an envelope, as I opened it I discovered a piece of paper that said this:

Dear Sexy Wife!

Well we made it to our third year of being married! Since this will be our last anniversary together just me and you for a very long time, I figured that we should do something fun. So I bought first class airplane tickets to see some of the best countries around the world, but don't worry you won't have to pack very much. ;)

Love, Hubby

Then...There were 4 "first class tickets" to Paris, Hong Kong, Italy, and Egypt. :) All for me!! I was pretty excited and curious as to what our anniversary was going to bring! What did my hunny have up his sleeve?

So Robby woke me up at 8:30 yesterday because that was what time my "first flight" arrived, so I had to be up and ready for Paris, France.

When I was brought into the kitchen I was in Paris! This...was my welcome to Paris and the Eifle tower was right outside our window. ;)

My Paris breakfast consisted of 'French' toast...Since we were after all in France. :)

Next we'd be heading to Hong Kong at 11:30. So after breakfast I had to get ready for my next flight onto Hong Kong!

When we arrived in Hong Kong we had lunch..Which was at Panda Express...A very legit and authentic place in Hong Kong. :)

After lunch it was onto see the Bodies exbibit...Since most of the bodies donated are asian orientation it fit right along with China.

Next was our arrival at 5:45 to Italy. So of course we visited Johnny Carinos for some authentic Italian cuisine.

The day had been full of shopping, fun, and unexpected twists that I excitely had anticipated. But the biggest anticipation was Egypt! What on earth was Egypt going to have for me? I soon found out as we ended our evening at Destination's Inn.

Egypt???

I was in Egypt! Robby had gotten us a themed sweet at Destinations Inn, and though a themed sweet seems kind of cheesy and lame this room was pretty awesome! We had so much fun looking at everything and just having fun in our very large, very romantic room!

Our room not only had an awesome jet tub it had a sauna too! We didn't end up using it since boiling our bebe wasn't really on our wish list...But I've never seen a room with a sauna!

Our room even came with complimentary sparkling cider and cheesecake. Which later we enjoyed while soaking in our jetted tub. :)

Welcome to the Ladles! Why thank you! :)

The room looked so fancy and soothing. I really loved our tub area!

The room came with a screen that came down from the ceiling that you could watch movies or tv on. It was connected to a projector above the bed. Pretty fancy!

So happy to be with this clever and sweet guy!

King and Queen Tut ;)

Ultimately most may look at this and think it's pretty cheesy....But I'm the type of girl who likes the cheesy sweet things my hubby goes to the effort to put together just for me...

This guy...Knows how to make...

This gal...Certainly happy and feel appreciated and loved! 3 years just hasn't been nearly enough time to love and be with Robby...Thank goodness it's an eternity together! :)

Big and Bigger!

Lately alot of things have been happening in my life..Big things...Bigger things than my ever enlarging belly even. Life's been full of big events and big bellies so much that I just haven't had time to blog about all of it till now.

One of the biggest things to occur recently is I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelors of Science in English. Going through my last semester of school I don't think it actually ever hit me that I was graduating, or all of the work I had put into to graduate. But graduation day with my family surrounding me it finally hit me that all those years of tears, frustration, and late nights had finally paid off...I was graduating. Everything finally sunk in that day as I walked across the stage to receive my diploma. With my mother in tears below watching it finally hit me...I did it. All that hard work was finally paying off and I did it!

Now...Like everyone who ever receives an award or accomplishment I am going to give my thanks...

I'm so thankful first and for most for my parents...Because without them (especially my sweet mother) I would have never made it. My mom has always been there pushing me and believing in me, and never did she not believe I couldn't succeed in college and receive a degree. She wanted it so much for me and was always there pushing me, encouraging me, and being there for me. I'm thankful for my parents for always bringing me up to school, making sure I had school supplies, groceries, and all the necessities needed by a college girl. I'm so very blessed to have parents who never gave up on me and have always believed I was smarter than I thought I was.

I'm also INCREDIBLY grateful and thankful for my loving and supportive husband; who more often than not believed in me more than I ever believed in myself. I'm so thankful for a husband who has always been there for me, and supported me. Even when I decided to change my major a year before graduation, he was always there pushing me and supporting me in whatever I wanted to do. Never has he doubted my abilities or capabilities in regards to knowledge and education. Often times when I thought I was so stupid and in-capable I had a reassuring hug, smile, and phrase telling me I was smart. It's those times that pushed me through and got me the degree I have worked so hard for. I'm thankful for a husband who honored my desires to get an education before having children and supported me the entire way. Slowly I am receiving everything I ever wanted, and it's all thanks to my loving and wonderful husband. I love you baby!

I'm so thankful for all the family that made the sacrifice and took the time to come honor and celebrate me on my special day! It made the day even more special to get to stand before all of them and be proud of what I have accomplished. I am truly blessed! And relieved to be done!

While I'm going along with the topic of big things...Lets talk about BIG SECRETS AND SURPRISES!!

Little did I know...My family was secretly planning a baby shower for me! In getting pregnant one of the things I was looking forward to was having a baby shower, but I concluded early on that I wasn't going to be able to have one, because I didn't really see anyone I knew in Rexburg throwing me a baby shower. And since most of my friends and family live in other states I didn't know who on earth would be invited if I had one anyway! So sadly I wrote off having a baby shower...But little did I know a bunch of sneeky sneekers were planning me one!

It wasn't until the day of the baby shower that I started to get skeptical...I had one final left to take that day, and so Robby had dropped me off for my final assuming I would be there for an hour and a half. Well, I got done about 45 minutes into the time and happily wanting to come home and see my family (who had arrived like an hour prior) I texted and called Robby to come pick me up. He informed me that he was busy...So I called my mom to come get me and she said she was at KFC getting food...I told Robby there was no one to pick me up and he said Vincent would come get me. So I'm thinking "Ok good, finally I have a ride home!" So I wait...and wait..and wait..And after about 10 minutes I texted my brother asking what gives. He sadi he was on his way...ON HIS WAY!? What had he been doing the past 10 minutes?! Arg was all I coudl think at the time. So I waited about 10 more minutes for him to show up. When I came in the door I found that only my brother and dad were home. My dad looks at me and first thing he says is, "You're not suppose to be home yet." Gee thanks dad...Nice to see you too? Then my dad proceeds to rattle off some nonsense about how my mom wanted to go see Annette and then Grandad wanted to come and the girls and Robby...I'm like...Oook...That doesn't really match up with mom's story but sure...I started getting a little skeptical at this point since no one's stories were matching up.

So my  mom comes in the apartment and I hear my dad whisper something to her and she comes in stating the same thing my dad had..I just played along...Still very skeptical of what was going on...

That night we were all suppose to go out to Olive Garden as a pre-dinner celebration for graduation; since my graduation would be running late we thought we'd do dinner the night before. I was really looking forward to going out with all the family for dinner. Well Robby informed me he had made reservations for 7 since we had such a large group and we'd better head down there to make sure they know we're all coming. At this point I wasn't so skeptical anymore and I thought "Okay great lets go!" So he and I and my little sister jumped into the car to head to Idaho Falls. Now, something to make you aware of is whenever we head out somewhere I always ask Robby if he has his wallet...This time was no different and I said:

"Babe...You got your wallet right?"
"Yes"

And we were off! So about 15-20 minutes down the road he starts feeling his pant pockets and with a kind of concerned look says, "Oh...I think I forgot my wallet..." YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!? Robby starts to recall that he left the wallet in his parents hotel room and so he proceeds to call his parents saying go ahead and keep going to Olive Garden we'll have to go back and get the wallet. Well...I'm not stupid...So I try something out in the car:

Me: Hey honey...I have my wallet...We can just use my card to pay for the food.
Robby: Uh...No I need my wallet.
Me: Why? I've got the same card in my wallet we don't need to go back.
Robby: Yes...yes we do..I just need my wallet cause I'm the driver and stuff..

.....OOOOK?

So we head back to Rexburg to the hotel his parents were staying at. Livvy and I sit in the car and as soon as Robby leaves the car I turn around to investigate the little chick-a-dee in the back seat:

Me: Livvy! What is going on!?
Livvy: Nothing...He just forgot his wallet.
Me: Livvy! I KNOW something is going on...You need to tell me!
Livvy: He just forgot his wallet, I remember seeing him drop it.
.......?
Me: If you saw him drop it then why didn't you say something to him when you saw him drop it.
Livvy: I dunno...He just needs to go get it.

What...the..heck. Somethin' is goin' on! :)

So Robby comes back out and says that I have to come in and varify that it's his wallet.........? So I try to do another little test and say, "Ok..But livvy can just stay in the car since we'll be right back." Robby proceeds to tell me livvy  needs to come too. So with a smirk on my face and giving my sneeky husband a look we walk into the hotel. Then Robby proceeds to tell me I have to go up to the conference room to get it...Um...Yah okay babe whatever you say. So we open the door to the conference room and....

SURPRISE! It's a baby shower!! :)

I knew something was up, but never did I really suspect a baby shower! I was so surprised at all the friends and family that were there, the adorable decorations, and all the GIFTS! I felt so surprised, loved, and excited! Here's a little recap of my baby shower...

Grow baby grow...

Camping in Island Park

Ever since the weather has started to warm up I have been DIEING to go camping! Pregnant or not pregnant, I wanted to go camping this summer! After all, we have to enjoy our 3 months of warmth and what better way than to go out into the great outdoors? We decided we wanted to go camping for the long 4th of July weekend but where to go was kind of a toughy. After looking around and calling some places we decided our best bet was Island Park, because most places looked like they were going to be fully booked before we'd even get a chance to set up camp.

Robby had called up to Island Park to a place called "Big Springs". The director said usually they filled up by Friday evening, and since we didn't want to take our chances of not getting a spot, Robby and my brother loaded up a few things and headed up there Friday morning to get a camping spot (it's only about an 1.5 up there). As I went through my regular routines on a Friday I anxiously waited to hear that they got a camping spot. I REALLY wanted to go camping! Luckily they found a camping spot no problem and we'd all head back up that evening. The only problem was apparently the place was infested with mosquitos...But...I decided it couldn't be THAT bad.

The scenery looked magnificent from the car with all the greenery and seclusion...And I say from the car...Again...

As soon as we got out of the car they swarmed us like we were covered in sugar or something. Me especially, and I'm thinking they could sense the extra blood pumpin' through my body due to my pregnancy. All weekend I seemed to be their favorite treat over either of the guys. Either way, I was determined to have a good time and no little blood sucking boogers were going to ruin that for me!

We actually made a game at one point of how many mosquitos we could kill. When we would go down to use the restrooms for some reason the camp director kept leaving the bathroom door open, so before you could sit and do your business in peace, we would shut the bathroom door and bring some sort of towel of clothing item to smack every single mosquito dead. It got to be kind of fun I thought wacking the little buggers and getting my revenge; even if I was seeking revenge on not the exact same mosquitos that had sucked me dry earlier haha.

Since the only time there weren't mosquitos swarming us was at night, I took pictures of our camp at night.

Vincent's tent...Slept under a tarp in his truck.

That lovely see-through tent was our mosquito santuary all weekend long!

Working on our hobo dinners.

Vincent, smoke, and hobo dinners.

Saturday we were up bright and early to go kayaking down the river. I was super excited to go kayak down the river. Needless to say at some points the river became more of a stream and we found ourselves getting out of the kayaks to drag them across the sand :) we still had a great time and enjoyed some beautiful scenery. In total we kayaked 5 miles down the river.

Sunday we decided to test our skills out in the open waters of the Teton Resivoir. So looking a little silly with our kayaks while everyone un-loaded their big fancy boats, we headed out to hopefully find somewhere to relax and swim for a while.

All the way from over there was where we kayaked to our little resting spot.

Swimming and enjoying the sun.

Our little camp.
We ended up ending our little camping trip early due to the fact that the mosquitos seemed to be getting worse and worse as the days pressed on. But after 2 days of kayaking we were pretty worn out and had enjoyed our camping advernture...Mosquitos and all.
