IT IS FINISHED!!

I'm proud and happy to announce that bebe's room is FINISHED! Months and months of preparing the nursery (For my 10 month old, ha) and his room is done! There's only one more thing we need to get I want to get and then it's done! So happy to feel like it's complete and I love his room! I'm kind of jealous! You'll notice in the pictures that I added little decals to the walls. I found ALL of them in a set for $9 at Burlington Coat Factory, I love when I find a good deal!

Things left to do:

1. Get this for extra toy storage, because we all know the toys he has right now aren't going to be the only toys he ever has...Specially with someone's birthday coming up in 2 months!!

Comes with the bins and the colors will match perfectly in his room!
 2. Put pictures on his little giraffe board that I keep procrastinating forgetting to do!

Anyway...I'm done with the decorating portion...Just a few minor things and I'm closing this chapter of my craft/design brain! Onto another room and more projects! :-)

Some of you may remember the material was upside down...I'm happy to announce I switched it to the proper side, ha.

These windows were a tad longer (14" to be exact!) and so I had to lengthen bebe's curtains. I was so excited when I came up with this idea! They turned out super cute I think!

Meeting his new little friends for the first time.

He went right to the little lion and started touching it and talking to it.

He sat there talking for at least 5 min. Best friends for sure!

He loved the giraffe too!

The monkey and giraffe are my favorite for sure, how cute are these!?

And of course to keep the jungle theme going...We went with monkey's in his bathroom! (Did we mention he has his OWN bathroom!? What 10 month old has his own bathroom? Jealous.)

He LOVES his monkey rug!

Mommy got off to a good start this week and worked out...Hopefully it's a sign of a good week!

Have a great week everyone!

Lets Start From the Very Beginning...

Lets start from the very beginning....A very good place to be. That is unless you're talking about weight loss...Then from the very beginning is NOT a very good place to be. Yes..I'm going to rant and yammer on about weight loss AGAIN. And if you haven't guessed I regret to inform I'm pretty  much back to square one in weight loss! Back to the very beginning indeed. Back to no weight lost. Back to feeling frustrated. Back to an endless cycle of eating poorly, making excuses, and being lazy. Back to the beginning! I'm going to make a few excuses as to why this happen, because frankly, I'm good at it. But really I have no excuse for NOT already being 20 pounds thinner. I have no excuse, but I'm going to make some anyway.

Excuse #1: Family in town. Ever since the beginning of August we have had some form of family visiting. And I LOVED it don't get me wrong. But for some reason family just kind of throws me into a funk and I feel like I'm on holiday all the time. And what do we do during the holidays? We celebrate and eat and relax and well eat and enjoy one anothers company and well EAT. And I did a whole lot more eating than I did exercising. Lots of food + No working out = Losing weight (Uh....Sorry but NOPE.)

Excuse #2: I was moving. I'm happy to announce we've moved into our new place and are LOVING IT. But sadly packing and un-packing and just moving in general made little time (in my head) for working out and lots of take out (in my head...once again...thought it was a good idea). I'm still un-packing and trying to get things the way I want them. But I'm hoping to do a video tour (lucky you!!) on my blog to show you guys our new place. SO happy to be living here!

Excuse #3: I have a mobile 10 month old. Ya...For some reason he's always my default excuse for why I can't eat good and work out. Like the kid is forcing me down and spoon feeding me ice cream and processed foods? Get real! He may be mobile and have me wrapped around his finger, but I am in control of what I eat. As for the working out..Ya..he makes it a weeee bit difficult, but not impossible.

So there you have it..my glorious excuses for why I'm still fat and have back tracked juuuust a wee bit. So now that we've addressed why I'm very chunk-a-licious, here's me re-dedicating myself once again. And I'm serious!! I mean it this time!! I'm going to lose the got dang weight! For realz...

So here's me taking more horrifying pictures that help me realize just how disgusting I am. Sorry you have to endure this again. But I wanted new accurate pictures so when I'm hot and thin I can look back and barf ;)

Yum-o

So this may be crazy talk...But I've decided I'm going to get my big booty up at 5AM and go down to the gym. We have a gym at our awesome new complex and I intend to use it! If I go down at 5AM I can get a good solid hour in before Robby has to leave for work. I see this as my only option honestly, because as the morning/day drags on I just end up making more and more excuses. Now come next month I'll get lucky enough to work out at 7 or 8AM because Robby goes to nights. Not so happy he's going to nights...But it means someone will be home during the day so I can go work out, hip hip hurray! So lets pray I can make this work! Because I think it would be really good for me!

So other then me still chubb-a-licious and us moving to a new place the only other thing to talk about is my adorable son! He's still trying at times..And we've been battling alot of ear issues with him. But he's still awesome and soooo cute!

Hello little one!

This may sound weird but...I love his little body. I think he's cute with his little waist and belly sticking out.

I also think he's cute when he squats.

And now for some pictures with mommy! We like to do black and white with mommy because she likes how you can't see her terrible skin and red blotch-i-ness in the black and white photos.

LOVE him!

He puts up with me...Even when I smother him.

Oh...And you may have noticed a blog title and "theme" change. I'm starting fresh tomorrow so I figured I'd change things up a bit in my blog. I'm going to be writing more often (hopefully) and just doing things a little different. After my "last supper" tonight it's go time. I'm serious! Don't laugh!

Have a great week everyone!

I'm Never Done!

So...Let me just tell you something about myself. I'm the type of person when I start on something I like to finish it! I'm not a half done, draw it out, kind of gal. If I start a sewing project, I get it done. If I start a craft project, I get it done. And I like to get it done as fast as possible. I'm the kind of gal who likes to see the ending result and as quickly as possible! So...I swore I was done with bebe's room (for now) but, then of course Pinterest inspired me other wise. So...I kept on keepin' on with the projects. I just can't help myself! It's so much fun! Granted in the back of my mind I'm thinking, "Hmm...My kids prolly gonna want his room changed to race cars and trucks in the next year" but for now mamma gets to call the shots and the shots are jungle theme! So here's what I've been working on...I'm getting closer to feeling satisfied with his room, but it's so not complete. Not as long as Pinterest keeps inspiring me to make things!

Hanging diaper holder. Kind of tricky to make, but I LOVE it!

Cork board covered in fabric to put memories and momentous on.

Cute little stitched giraffe

Ok so I saw this idea on Pinterest and loved it. It's going to hang in his room the only problem is I didn't write it EXACTLY right..And a the funny story is I re painted it THREE TIMES cause I kept messing up. Finally the last time I was like it's good ha. The colors look so much better in person.

So besides being TOTALLY obsessed with projects and crafts this pretty much sums up my weeks...

An ever growing ever changing ever getting more mobile little man who's constantly stealing my heart and love!

I'm...

This weeks been a real kick in the pants for me for multiple reasons...But here's a comprisement of my thoughts this week...

I'm going to do this! I can do this! I NEED to do this!
Ugh I will NEVER have anymore kids! This ones too much!
Poor baby...I just wish I knew what was wrong with him...
Oh my lanta no more babies! Gaaaa!
He's so precious...I can't wait to have more. I'm like an addict!
Think pink think pink daddy! We want a baby sister! (No we're not trying but I'm already going through spurts of wanting another)
What's wrong with him!?
Oh look...He pooped! Yay!
Noooo moooore kids! He's so frustrating!
Ugh, I'm so fat! I'll never get this weight off!
I wish I had a gym right in my livingroom...Then I could do this.
How on earth am I ever going to get this weight off...
I'm so un-attractive...How can my husband even stand me?
If I could just get this weight off I'd never put it on again...EVER.
Soooooo fat....Bleh!
I wish I had a partner who was in this with me...
I wish I had a husband who wanted to lose weight...
I wish I had a gym I could go to.
How on earth will I ever get this weight off when life's just going to get more and more hectic?
I wish I had someone to motivate me and do this with me...
How am I ever going to lose this weight.
I'm going to workout...But I doubt it'll make a difference.
This is hard...What if I slide back down and fail?

Okay...That's a compilement of my week...And it's only Thursday. I've been really struggling this week with food and exercising and just feeling FAT. I feel so incredibly disgusting and tell Robby frequently I don't know how he can even stand to be around me or be attracted to me. I'm just plain gross....Bless the man for loving me and wanting to be with me even at my worst...My bodies been through so much and has so many scars to bear that standing in front of the mirror (naked) is hard...There's just SO much not going for me. It's been a frustrating week feeling alone in this journey as well...Robby's busy and so he's head is certainly not in the weight loss game. I just feel frustrated and alone. Having a fussy baby all week hasn't helped my case either. He's been having tummy issues so we're trying to work those out. Hopefully we'll all have a better weekend and next week. Hopefully by then I'll get out of my funk before I pack on the 10 pounds I worked so hard to lose...Here's lookin' to better times!

Also...Last night as I rocked my sweet baby before bed; he cuddled snuggly in my arms with his little legs wrapped around my round tummy (it makes for a great cushion to set him on) I just reflected on being a mom.

I NEVER envisioned it being so hard!
I NEVER envisioned it being so rewarding!
I NEVER envisioned myself loving someone as much as I do. He is my heart and soul, he is my everything!
I NEVER envisioned this being so trying and difficult! I knew it'd be hard...I knew I wouldn't get sleep or, whatever...But I NEVER knew how much time and frustration would go into being a mom.
I NEVER envisioned feeling more proud and happy to be someone's momma.
I NEVER envisioned one little smile bringing so much joy to my life.

Being a mom has been a huge reality check for me. Until you're a mom you just can't even IMAGINE how hard and difficult it'll be at times. You also can't imagine how wonderful, blissful, and rewarding it will be also. I'm so grateful for my little man and all the tears, laughter, joy, and love he brings into our home. Oh how I love that sweet baby boy!

My world.

Bebe's Room

So one of my projects for the past month or so has been trying to get baby Robby's room put together. The poor thing hasn't officially had a cute little nursery or room since he was born, and I still had that desire/wanted to decorate his room! I tossed around the idea of making it more like a little boys room and less like a nursery (since he is 8 months old for crying out loud) but I just couldn't resist making it all cutsie! I'm pretty much obsessed with jungle theme and so that's what I went for with his room. I'm still not total done and haven't put this project to rest. But over-all it's pretty much complete. I've still got a few wall projects I want to do and have to deal with a wide glaring blank wall, but for the most part here it is!

One of the 1st things I made was his name sign, I love it.

One wall of his room....I also made his curtains as well which I love!

The goofy lamp I covered and put the material on up-side down! I may be re-covering this bad boy...

Another wall of his room.

And another wall...

I LOVE these little canvas pictures I made! I just wish I could've gotten canvas' a little larger than 8 x 8.

And this glaring huge blank wall....I'm thinking a shelf or some toy storage along it? I've got some ideas but it requires spending more of Robby's hard earned money and I think he's about sick of me investing money into this room ;)

So that's it! Over-all I'm so pleased with his room. There's still alot of white space and I think having tile in the room doesn't help...IF we stay I think I'll be looking for a cute area rug to go in there as well. I'm thinking of making a hanging diaper holder as well, and of course my few extra wall projects. Looking at his room over-all it deff. needs some more jungle theme to it, so I think I'll be tieing the same little animal shapes I used on the canvas onto other aspects of his room. I didn't want to go too over-board and wanted to keep it fairly clean and simple so I'll call it quits...For now ;)

Burn Baby Burn

So like WAY back in May you might recall me writing a post about losing weight yatta yatta? Well almost 2 months later I've FINALLY got the first 10 pounds off...Well 11 pounds if we're getting technical. And I told myself with every 10 pound mark I'd write a post and take pictures. I really didn't think my pictures would look any different because in all actuality I have SO far to go (we're talking pre-wedding weight/size) that 10 pounds doesn't seem that great and I still feel fat yatta yatta. But I took the pictures anyway because it's still 10 pounds off! It's kind of bitter sweet for me because it's 10 pounds I worked off but I still have so far to go that it seems minuscule in the big scheme of things. But never-the-less here's the results!

Before
After

Once I started looking I could see little changes here and there. My belly's not as crazy and my butt's not quite as bubbled at the top. I'm thinking another 10 pounds and some changes will REALLY be noticeable, I'm excited!

Before

After

Before

After

These last 2 are prolly my favorite, because you can just tell I'm not quite as rolly-polly as I was. It's very gratifying to see the little changes because going through this day by day I don't think anything has changed! But it's actually working! What's been working for me (And would work fabulously if I'd keep my head in the game ALL the time) is just cutting down my starches and watching the sugar and sweets! That's it really! I'm not a big sugary drink or soda person so that's not a problem it's just the major sweet tooth and carb lover that's the problem! So keeping my starches in check (like MAYBE 2 servings but let's not get crazy here) and practically no sweets has really done it for me. Work-outs have been the real struggle with a little one because lets face it...The last thing I really wanna do once he goes down for a nap is workout...I'd rather watch some trashy TV or get on Pinterest. But I've been trying! And hopefully I'll start getting better as I get more and more motivated to lose the weight. 20 pounds off here I come!

20 pounds lost, here I come!
